Here is a timeline of all the incidents that happened between April 23, the day after Guillen disappeared, and June 30, the day those remains were found.

  • April 22: Aaron David Robinson told investigators he and Guillen worked together briefly.
  • April 23: Army investigators were notified that Vanessa Guillen was missing

A check on Guillen’s phone records revealed the last text she sent out was to Robinson.

  • April 28: Army investigators interviewed Robinson, asked him what he did the day Guillen disappeared. He said he left Fort Hood to go home to his girlfriend after work.

According to Robinson, the one time he left his home that day was around 6:30 p.m. to return to the post to sign up for a training.

  • May 18: Two witnesses stated they saw Robinson on April 22 loading a heavy “tough box” with wheel into his car.
  • May 19: Robinson allowed investigators to search his phone.

Checks on Robinson’s phone records revealed he called his girlfriend Cecily Aguilar multiple times on the night Vanessa disappeared and as late as 3:30 a.m. the next day.

He also received calls from Aguilar throughout the day.

  • June 19: Aguilar was interviewed and she stated she was with Robinson all night the day Guillen disappeared.

When asked why Robinson called her so much, even after midnight if they were together, Aguilar said Robinson called because she couldn’t find her phone.

Investigators said that information didn’t match the length of the calls.

Aguilar was later re-interviewed and said she had lied before and that she did leave their home with Robinson on April 22 to look at stars at a park in Belton, Texas.

Both of their phones’ location records show they were near the Leon River on April 23 and April 26.

  • June 21: Authorities searched an area where Robinson’s phone had pinged. They found a burn site with disturbed earth and the burned remains of what appeared to be “tough box.”
  • June 30: Remains found 30 miles outside of Fort Hood believed to be Vanessa Guillen were discovered.

Specialist Aaron David Robinson killed himself before authorities could detain him. Cecily Aguilar has been arrested and is charged with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence.
