Fort Hood released this photo of Spc. Aaron David Robinson, who took his own life when law enforcement attempted to make contact with him after he fled from base late Wednesday.

US Army CID announced yesterday that one military suspect is deceased after taking his own life yesterday in Killeen, Texas, and a civilian suspect has been arrested by the Texas Rangers in connection with the disappearance of Pfc. Vanessa Guillen.

Today, federal authorities charged Aguilar with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence. Aguilar faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.

According to the complaint, Aaron David Robinson – the suspect who killed himself – told Cecily Aguilar he killed a female soldier by hitting her in the head with a hammer.

Specialist Aaron David Robinson, 20, of Illinois joined the Army in October 2017 as a combat engineer,

Robinson worked in an adjacent building from where Specialist Guillen worked.

Army Criminal Investigation Command Special Agent Damon Phelps said that at this time there is “no credible information” that Robinson sexually harassed Guillen, despite claims by the Guillen family lawyer.

An Army investigation into Vanessa Guillen disappearance had led to the recent discovery of human remains in Belton, Texas, but officials say that they have not yet been positively identified.

Meanwhile, Natalie Khawam, an attorney for the Guillen family claimed to the Army Times in a report published Thursday that Guillen was killed by Robinson while she was on duty in the armory room at Fort Hood.

Robinson attacked Guillen with a hammer, Khawam alleges, citing information she says was provided to her by Army Criminal Investigation Command officials.

“This heinous act caused her blood to be splashed all over the armory room,” Khawam said in a statement to the Army Times.

Once Guillen was dead, Robinson then allegedly contacted his married girlfriend “to help him bury her bloody body.”

“At first they tried to set her on fire, but she wouldn’t burn. Then they dismembered this beautiful US soldier’s body with a machete.”

Suspect ADR, Aaron David Robinson, killed himself. Cecily Aguilar has been charged, by federal authorities, with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

Reports say she faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a maximum $250,000 fine.
