Shenseea had a very close relationship with her mother who raised her in St. Mary without the presence of her father. Reports say Shenseea has never met her father, who is Korean. He left when Shenseea mother was six months pregnant.
In her rags-to-riches story, Shenseea said:
“Mommy was a single parent and worked and lived in jobs so during high school years I moved back and forth between relatives just to get a place to stay…. then drop out a college ( financial problems)”.
