Man, Ryan Turman was Black Boy Joy every day when I saw him in school. I’m sad to see him go. Praying for all of your family, friends, loved ones, and any black kid who knew you along your journey. RIP 🖤
Today I got a phone call and I knew I wanted to say something.
My sisters and I met Ryan Turman and his family when we were in elementary school. Crazy to think about. Went to different Middle Schools, and once we got to High School we weren’t in the same group of friends besides Jordyn. So i’m not going to pretend that I know everything about him or that we were close. Yet, whenever I saw Ryan around, he exuded laughter, and friendship. He had/has so many genuine friends and people who care about him that are hard to come by for some people. To lose such a soul at such a young age is devastating to so many.
I have been praying for every single person who knew him and especially for his family. I will continue to pray for them and listen/watch people share memories of Ryan…as I am sure there are many.

My son lost a very close friend to the family this morning and I just ask that the Universe give me the strength to support my child and be strong for him. My whole entire world stops when I see my son cry…Help Us Please.
