Hello everyone, I’m terribly sad to announce that Austin “Nimblz” Reuschle, has passed away at the young age of 21 on May 17th.

Most of you may know them from their hit Roblox game “eg” or “Sno day”. They were one of the most down to earth people I knew personally. I’ll miss you.

Thank you all for your kind and loving support ❤️❤️❤️

Hey developers,
We recently lost a developer who was very near and dear to many in our community.

Nimblz was a force of positivity and creativity since joining Roblox in 2009.

Always determined to put player experience first with a strong drive to deliver games that were entertaining and fun for players, Nimblz engaged us all through awe-inspiring creativity.

The impact on our community can be felt far and wide through quirky games like “sno day 1.9k” and “Eg! 2.3k”, which gave us laughs that we’ll cherish forever.

Thank you, Nimblz. You’ll always be with us in the games you’ve created and published for everyone to enjoy on Roblox.

❝Austin Chad Reuschle, 21, of Navarre, Florida, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Austin was born on July 24, 1998 on Andrews Air Force Base, Washington D.C.

Austin’s first home was Lajes Field, Azores, a small group of islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. When he was 1, his family moved to Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, where he learned to enjoy all things creepy crawly – as any true southern boy.

In 2002, Austin and his family moved to Aviano Air Base, Italy. There, Austin learned to snowboard and discovered his love of cold weather climates. He always dreamed of going to Alaska one day.

When Austin was in 3rd grade, his family moved to Navarre, Florida and decided to make it their forever home. He graduated from Navarre High School in 2016 and proceeded to enroll at Pensacola State College where he studied Computer Programming.

Austin was the developer of Eg! The Game and Sno Day on the Roblox Game Platform.

He completed an internship in game development from September 2019 to December 2019 at the Roblox Corporation in San Mateo, California.

His friends in the Roblox community knew him best as Nimblz.❞

Fun was a feeling that I’ve rarely had as I grew older. Eg reminded me of how much I enjoyed the simplicity of games back when I was a kid. I didn’t play it for long, but the time I spent was definitely great.

A tribute to Nimblz.

Trigger Warning:

On the timeline, there is a note by Nimblz about him taking his own life. This is tragic. We’d like you to know that taking your own life is not the answer. If you feel this way, please talk to someone, such as a therapist, hotline, Etc. You matter.

Correction: Nimblz identified as Non – binary and therefore goes by they/them pronouns. In our last tweet, we accidentally misgendered them. Please keep this in mind when referring to them. Thank you for your respect.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear this. My son who is 8yrs old told me this heartbreaking news 2 days ago in shock and confused. He came back to me again today to tell me he now knows what happened to him because he wondered how this could happen being he was only 21yrs old. To my surprise with his head hung low he murmured It was suicide. I pray for the family and friends and all that followed his games which are all his FANS like my son.

  2. you serious? it was suicide or was it the pandemic or something. That kid must have had a bright future…….. what would cause him to kill himself….?

    • Suicide, he posted a scheduled tweet to his account before he did it. The tweet contained a suicide note that was posted to git hub and was quickly removed by github. I didn’t get to it before it was taken down, but I think that the haters really got to him.

  3. I just realize something, i checked his roblox account and one of his creation were called Stay in the house for 4 hours. and that game has been reviewed by Konekokitten an roblox youtuber, and he said that the game was dumb. could that be the cause of him suicide?

    • dude, are you serious? the game was meant to not be taking serious. koneko/brian saying it was dumb wouldn’t hurt him. plus, he died 2 weeks ago. he posted a suicide note on twitter. check the facts plz.

  8. It just doesn’t add up. Why would a 21 year old working in what he loved most and surrounded by friends, just call it quits. There has to be more to it and it’s important to bring it out so that we learn from it.
