According to reports, Nicholas Arriaga had crashed his Jeep into a concrete wall and got out of the vehicle with his child before attempting to cross the I-45 North Freeway on foot.

They were on foot when a southbound Toyota Camry hit them. This happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 19000 block of the North Freeway (I-45) near Cypresswood Drive.

The driver of the Camry cooperated with investigators as they looked into what happened.

Our hearts break for the grieving family, friends and loved ones and we urge that their privacy please be respected.

  1. Nico is a very good friend of mine. A sense of humor to brighten any room and make everyone laugh. I had the pleasure of working with him and more of a pleasure as having him as a friend.
