Diana Pepper death, obituary: How Diana Pepper Gold Hunters died

The passing of the Western Australian filmmaker Diana Pepper was announced by Electric Pictures in a statement that read:

We have very sad news to share today.

Our great colleague and friend, Diana Pepper, has passed away after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm.

Diana was a much loved Electric Team Member for the last 7 years, who made a lasting contribution to many of our projects, in particular our series Aussie Gold Hunters. She wrangled the gold teams with charm, persuasion and passion.

She buzzed around the office always making sure new staff were welcome, would take you to lunch for your birthday, regularly baked muffins for the office, and got so excited reporting the Aussie Gold TV ratings! She was a confident, positive and loving person who inspired the same in others.

Diana Pepper’s valued contribution to the Western Australian documentary industry began with Electric Pictures in 2001.

From then, Diana worked tirelessly for many local companies including Prospero Productions, Southern Star Entertainment, and Artemis Media where she was a Senior Researcher and Casting Researcher for 6 years.

From 2012 to 2019 she worked for Electric Pictures as Producer/Casting Researcher.

Diana’s main credits include:

  • Researcher, Casting and Producer on AUSSIE GOLD HUNTERS (2016-2019) (Series 1-5) for Electric Pictures
  • Principal Researcher on THE WAR THAT CHANGED US (2014) for Electric Pictures
  • Researcher, Casting and Assistant Producer on WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE (2006-2012) (Series 1-5) for Artemis Media
  • Location Manager on BOM BALI (2006) for Electric Pictures
