It Is with a Very Heavy Heart to announce that my Brother in Dance ,Love and Life has passed away .
We have to celebrate the Wonderful life that Tyrone “The Bone” Proctor , the Waack Doctor lived . One of the Most Legendary Soul Train Dancers of all time !! He was the person that first walked me into the Soul Train TV Studio and has been one of the biggest influences on my life and career .
He has touched so many people around the world with his talent and crazy sense of humor. I`ve known him since I was 17 years old and can’t imagine this world without him . He’s Been teaching Waack Dancing in Japan , China and Globally after being the Main Pioneer of Waacking from the Clubs to Soul Train before I pegged the name Waacking because the way he taught it to us telling us ; You Gotta Wack that head , you gotta wack those arms to the beat !! May His soul continue to dance eternally in our hearts and memories .
My condolences to his blood family Debbie and Archie and his beautiful dance partner and sister Sharon Hill Woods .
And to all the Soul Train Family and his students around the world . I Love you Big Brother .

My heart is so heavy this morning. It’s so hard for me to believe that My Beautiful New York Hubby & Legendary Soul Train Dancer Tyrone Proctor has made his transition from this life. I’m gonna miss him so much.
Every time an earthquake hit California, no matter where or how small, he would be one of the first people to call me to check on me. I’m gonna miss our late night conversations.
Tyrone was hilarious! He could keep me laughing all night. Whenever I was sad or not feeling well, he would always call to check on me. That meant so much to me.
I would talk to him when he was in the airport waiting on a flight to Europe, Asia or Vietnam for his International Dance Classes or Competitions where he was often the judge.
He’d ask me to post some of his favorite songs on his page so he could listen to them later. I’m gonna miss hearing his voice so much.
He would call me and say “This is Tyrone Proctor, I need to speak to My Wife” as if I wasn’t me on the phone. Ah-Hahaha!!! Great Memories. Fly in Joy Hubby. Fly in Joy…
Rip Tyrone Proctor a Soul Train legend. No matter what I will always hear your voice in the back of my head screaming WERK!!! I will miss the small conversation we had on the phone about soul train, dance, and putting in that work.
I will miss you cussing me out saying *I am a 60 something-year-old Queen if I can do it so can you honey, you better werk”. I will miss your binder of pictures and poses and the videos you would share in class.
I will miss you cussing me out if I didn’t make sure you looked good before you started class. I would always watch him in footage and be like wow I could call him right now and I would wonder who am I and how did I get so lucky to be able to build this small relationship with a legend.
You have inspired me and my fiance in so many ways it would take years to explain them all. We will miss you rip.
REST IN PARADISE TYRONE PROCTOR…
Tyrone Proctor was one of the last of the living Pioneers of the 70’s dance craze Waacking. Tyrone made history on the dance TV classic Soul Train. He choreograph Music Videos for artists such as Jody Watley, Taylor Dane, Levert, Keith Sweat, The Isley Brothers, and Johnny Kemp’s Just Got Paid to name a few. Tyrone was nominated with New Kids On The Block for Best Choreographer at the1989 M.TV. Awards.
Tyrone’s choreography set visual standards for pop culture’s Boy Band Craze. Tyrone was featured in VH1 Documentary Soul Train, The Hippest Trip in America. He now teaches all over the world and continues to spread the knowledge and history of Waacking. Rest in Paradise Tyrone Proctor. You will be missed.

I was on Soul Train and American Bandstand with Tryone and Sharon and we always had so much fun taping the shows. Tryone and I hung out together when we weren’t taping the shows and he was such a character. I knew fun times were coming during our mini adventures. I will truly miss “T” and cherish my memories and the pictures of those fun time with him. I am blessed to have known him. RIP “T”💕💕😢

I use to love to see Tyrone dance with Sharon.RIP
Tyrone Proctor was my greatest inspiration when I first started to dance on Soul Train. He was so mesmerizing and a crazy dancer. He had no fear. You are so correct, Wacking was his style of dance and he did it with pizzazz. You will be truly missed. From one dancer to another. RIP!
Agpe,
Rande Tomas (a Soul Train Dancer)
