Here are the true details concerning Ricci Ellsworth killed in Memphis by her ex-boyfriend Michael Rimmer who has been sentenced to death.
The real Ricci Ellsworth death happened in 1997 after the mother of two disappeared on February 8, 1997 from the Memphis Inn near Interstate 40 and Sycamore View.
45 year old Ricky Ellsworth had disappeared from a Memphis motel where she was employed as a night clerk. Her blood was found in a motel office and money was missing from a cash register.
Ricci left behind her blood and her ring. Her body has never been found.
A year later in 1998, Ricci’s ex-boyfriend Michael Rimmer was sentenced to death for her killing.
He would be sentenced to death again at a resentencing in 2004 and later again in 2016 in the killing of 45-year-old Ricci Ellsworth.
Michael Dale Rimmer was convicted of abducting and killing his ex-girlfriend, Ricci Lynn Ellsworth, 45, in 1997.
He was never a cop.
Before Ricci Ellsworth death, Rimmer had just spent seven years in prison for raping Ellsworth.
He was convicted of raping Ellsworth in 1989. She forgave him and visited him in prison.
Five months after Rimmer’s release, Ricci went missing.
While serving his term in prison, Rimmer made threats to kill Ricci upon his release in October 1996.
