I am sad to announce that Blue Knights alumni Class of 2019 Nashawn Brooks has passed away. Please send good wish to his family & the Blue Knight family as we process this tremendous and devastating loss. Nashawn was the the 2019 IHS male athlete of the year.
This is so hard to process. He was such an outstanding , sweet, smart, gifted kid. He will so be missed. RIP and my deepest condolences to his family.

Today a member of our Essex County brethren lost a member of their family.
Nashawn Brooks, a 2019 graduate of Irvington High School, an outstanding wrestler and football player passed away due to injuries suffered during a car accident.
It puts things in perspective when we loose great people so young. I had the pleasure of speaking with Nashawn several times and his personality, demeanor and smile were pleasantly infectious.
The RaiderNation is sad today Nashawn and Essex County is heart broken. Rest easy my friend! You have made a positive impact on people’s lives. Until we meet again.
