Michael Pierce Baton Rouge accident: North American auto group owner Micheal Pierce and his father, Michael D. Pierce, 59, of Springfield, IL died in a December 6 crash on Airline Highway.
The crash happened as the Pierces’ were traveling northbound on US Hwy 61 in a 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia.
According to the Lousiana State Police, shortly before 8 p.m. on Dec. 6, troopers began investigating the deadly Michael Pierce Baton Rouge accident on Airline Highway north of Barringer Foreman Road in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The North American Auto Group owner was 39 years old. His company had locations in Baton Rouge and Gonzales.
Just before the crash, the Ferrari the Pierces were in exited the roadway to the right. The vehicle then struck a driveway bordering the roadway and overturned several times.
Michael and his father were unrestrained at the time of the crash and were ejected from the vehicle. They were pronounced deceased on the scene.
Toxicology samples were obtained from both occupants for analysis, impairment is unknown at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
