Martin Chas Chandler death:
Before his passing, Martin ‘Chas’ Chandler organised ‘Chastours’ trips to European ties and pre-season matches for more than 20 years. Chastours was born during West Ham‘s successful UEFA Intertoto Cup campaign in the summer of 1999.
On the West Ham United online supporters’ forum Knees Up Mother Brown, Chandler was also known by his avatar ‘Romford’. A touching Chas Chandler tribute on KUMB celebrates Chas’ life and describes how wonderful he was as a person and a Hammer.
For Chandler, West Ham was very much a way of life and he will be sorely missed.
