Joshua Hudnall was discovered in his truck dead shortly after ID Evil Lives Here episode was taped.
He died before he was able to see his story told on TV.
Investigation Discovery paid tribute to Joshua Hudnall after hearing news of Joshua Handel death. The network posted a heartfelt message on Twitter that read:

Joshua Handel death: Joshua Handell Evil Lives Here – how he died
Joshua died at the age of 26 in 2018. He was born on February 14, 1991 to William Hudnall and Stephanie Hudnall.
Before his death, Joshua Michael Hudnall was living in Alachua County, Florida. The army veteran was also a truck driver for USA trucking.
Joshua was close to his father William and never had a good relationship with his mother, Stephanie Hudnall.
In 2011, Hudnall mother and sister had killed his father, 54-year-old father, William Arnold Hudnall for money.
And Josh appeared on the Evil Lives Here episode Let Her Rot, where he discussed the harrowing events that led up to the death of his 54-year-old father, William Arnold Hudnall.
His father was killed while Joshua was overseas in the United States military.
The mobile home his sister, Guenevere Hudnall, and his mother, Stephanie Hudnall were living in was under foreclosure, and they needed money.
So they concocted a plan to murder his father to receive benefits from the government.
On June 9, 2011, Stephanie drove her daughter to her estranged husband’s home in Hawthorne, Florida.
When he fell asleep, Guenevere took a pickax and struck her father in the head and chest until he was dead.
Stephanie and Guenevere were convicted of second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.
They were each sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Before Joshua died, he visited his mother and sister in jail seeking to find out why they killed his father, but they didn’t give him a motive.
Not until he watched his sister Guenevere’s interrogation video that he found out why they did it.

Let’s see…40yrs sentence for murdering a 53yr old husband, father of 3…I would think that 53yrs would be more appropriate w/o possibility of parole. I also note that Joshua’s other sister, Gracie, wasn’t mentioned.
I have watched a number of ID’s Evil Lives Here shows but didn’t see this one until Dec 31, 2021. I felt horrible and then to find out he’d died at such a young age without getting to see the show was just even more depressing.
He made the most out of the hand he was dealt. And he had a clear sense of right and wrong .

I did a double-take when I saw Joshua had passed. Broke my heart! I am happy he is with his father! His life so tumultuous, and to serve in the military…this man deserved honor and grace ten-fold! I’m glad his story was told! He will greatly be remembered in my memory and others!
I just finished watching this, feeling hopeful that Josh would finally know some peace, only to see “in memory of” in the credits. I uncontrollably cried my eyes out for him. Someone I didn’t know except for an hour on tv. May you RIP Josh.

This is heartbreaking. He seemed to be getting himself help. Liver failure seems he may if turned to alcohol for relief. I hope he’s flying high with hus dad.
