Jeff Burton had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in March 2021. And he was expecting a full recovery during the course of six chemo treatments.
However, Jeff had to be recently admitted to the hospital as his prostate cancer spread all across his body. On Monday, July 11, 2022, his cohosts on “The Rizzuto Show” shared the news with listeners that Jeff had been taken off treatments and entered hospice care.

Not one to beaten, months before his health deteriorated, Burton had turned his health challenge into something good. Every week, during his hair sabbatical, he had worn a hat for a local business that was making a donation to one of 105.7’s favorite charitable partners, Kids Rock Cancer.
Jeff Burton’s “Man Of Many Hats” campaign came to a close at the end of October 2021.
