RIP Jared Porter. I still remember meeting him on his 21st b’day at East Park Res. I was a little concerned because I had heard a few stories of the Porter Twins aka The Pitbulls.
But when I met Jared we instantly became Buds! I gave him his first Blue Moon beer on his 21st B’day. We would hang out at Golden Gate Fields, go tubing on the Sac river, and do Outreach work at the Homeless shelters.
I still got your MMA shirt, I will be wearing it in your honor! Definitely A Guardian Angel- RIP

Or us all packed into the trucks and van to dash up to the lake for the weekend. It feels like one of my big brothers is gone and I can’t even begin to imagine what your twin must be going through. It was only October and we were all together like we used to be.

Although our encounter was brief it was meaningful. I was able to spend the last night you had on this earth in your company for a part of it and I will never forget our conversations and the things we spoke of. I still cant believe one day we are talking and the next you are gone. I have your texts in my phone and I didnt even know you that well, but like you said yourself to me, It felt like you have known me for 100 years. I was looking forward to getting to know you better and was so proud of some actions you were ready to take. The universe decided it needed a fighters soul to help heal this world. You were needed and called home. You will never be forgotten I will hold a special place in my heart for you for the rest of my life. One of the last things you said to me was I hope this is not the last time I see you. It was and that hurts my heart. I am truly heartbroken as you had such a good soul .. May you rest in peace now. You have finished your last fight and its not a tap out its a win as you were much needed home to do bigger things. The sadness of those here on earth will make your legacy insurmountable. I feel you had some absolution the night we talked and I know for a fact that your soul is resting in Peace.
