The Glenorchy District Football Club is a saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden passing of former player, Chris Smyth.
‘Smurf’ was recruited to the club from Sandy Bay in 1988 and played over 50 club games, kicking 50 goals.
A popular and humble figure, he later went on to be an integral part of the ABC’s Statewide Football commentary team where he gained many friends and admirers.
