Christian Bono and Nehemiah Turban were both 16 years old and died 1st August 2020. Matthew Bono was only 15 and died August 5, 2020.
Before their tragic deaths, Turban went to Treasure Coast High School while the Bono brothers Christian Bono and Matthew Bono went to Centennial High School in Port St. Lucie.
The Bono brothers played baseball at St. Lucie West Centennial, while Nehemiah played at Treasure Coast High School. At Centennial, Christian Bono was a rising junior catcher and Matthew Bono, a rising sophomore pitcher. Turban was a rising junior outfielder at Treasure Coast.
Christian, Matthew and Nehemiah Turban had been celebrating Turban’s 16th birthday when they got involved in a tragic accident.

The accident that caused Bono brothers death happened after a grey Toyota Camry struck a power pole and caught fire at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Southwest California and Southwest Heatherwood boulevards.
Matthew was a passenger in the 2003 Toyota Camry driven by his brother, 16-year-old Christian Bono. Nehemiah Turban, 16, was a front seat passenger. The car a struck a light pole near the intersection of California Boulevard and Heatherwood Boulevard.
According to Port St. Lucie police, Christian was driving south when the vehicle crossed the northbound lane and crashed into a concrete utility pole.
“They were traveling too fast to negotiate a slight right-hand curve,” Senior Sgt. Lisa Marie Carrasquillo said.
The location was east of Interstate 95 between St. Lucie West Boulevard and Crosstown Parkway.
According to TLCPalm, Matthew Bono was in the back seat at the time of the crash and suffered a skull fracture and burns. He was transported to Kendall Regional Burn Center in Miami for treatment but sadly died days later.
A GoFundMe page started to help raise money for funeral and medical costs for the families raised $78,915.
Christian Robert Bono was born December 28, 2003 in Stuart, Florida and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Matthew Bono was born March 1, 2005 in Stuart, Florida and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The Bono brothers survivors include his father, Paul Bono and mother, Nicole Bono and sisters, Emmalee and Hannah Bono.
Nehemiah “Nemo” Phillip Turban was born July 30th 2004. He was born and raised in Port St. Lucie.
He is survived by his mother Beth Turban, his bonus dad Edward Minor, his brothers Brodey Minor and Preston Minor, his sister Victoria Mckay, his aunts Skylar Turban and Sherrain Turban, his grandmother JoAnn Turban and his grandfather Terrance Turban and many more family members.
A community funeral for the three beloved teen baseball players was held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Whispering Pines Park, Port St. Lucie, Florida.
