Just heard about this. Can’t comprehend what would be so serious that one person could kill a blood relative during a family birthday celebration. Horrible news. Former NC State star played in my Eddie Jones All-Star Classic at the Great Western Forum back in 1997

RIP Anthony Grundy. From coming in as a replacement import to leading an undermanned and underdog Petron squad to stop a Talk N Text grand slam, may you rest in paradise Anthony Grundy.

The former North Carolina State standout is best remembered in the Philippines for his stint with Petron in the 2011 PBA Governors’ Cup where he joined the Blaze Boosters as a replacement import midway through the conference.
Grundy led the Boosters, now the San Miguel Beermen, to the championship, beating Talk ‘N Text in seven games and in the process stopping the bid of the Tropang Texters to win the Grand Slam that year.
Grundy scored a team-high 26 points in Game Seven.
Aside from the Philippines, Grundy also played in Greece, and had a stint with the Atlanta Hawks in 2006. A few months ago, Grundy was arrested for a hit-and-run crash in Kentucky.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
