Jessica Williams boyfriend, Blaine Spesak: His last post on Instagram was about conquering an addiction, reaching 30 days of continuous sobriety for the first time.

 

Blaine Spesak died in February 2019. Blaine’s cause of death has not been made public.

Yesterday I reached 30 days of continuous sobriety. The longest period of sobriety I’ve had in ten years.

It took a lot of pain, loss, and suffering to get here but I wouldn’t change a thing. I am learning to accept what has happened and use it as a chance to grow.

It’s time to start searching for self love and inner peace.

If you or anyone you know is suffering through addiction just know things can and will get better if you want them to. It took losing everything to realize that what I had left; my life, family and friends were worth fighting to keep.

Its important to realize that a heroin addict isn’t always the stereotype you may have in your mind. Sometimes they are your friends or loved ones.

I’m thankful to those in my life that did so much to help me out of the darkness. It’s early on in my recovery but I feel like celebrating. ✌🏼✨
