Shawn Childress death, obituary: Beloved Sgt Shawn Childress Richmond VA has passed away. He was only 24 years old.
Sgt. Shawn J Childress died January 1, 2020.
The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Bliley’s-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where a funeral ceremony will be held 10 a.m., Monday, January 6. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park.
Sgt Shawn Childress is survived by:
- his son, Easton Childress
- Easton’s mother, Jessica Childress;
- his mother, Vanessa Pellien (James);
- his father, William Childress;
- sister, Lisa Jefferson (Joenathan Jefferson);
- brother, Justin Childress;
- in-laws, Sophie and Jonathan Brown;
- sister-in-law, Sara Snead (Brandon, and their three children);
- and extended family and friends.

Born and raised in Richmond, after high school, Shawn became an active-duty U.S. Marine and served three deployments overseas. He was currently based out of Camp Lejeune, NC.
