Darrin Patrick death – dead, obituary: Pastor Darrin Patrick died 7th May 2020 of what appears to be a “self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
Statement confirming Darrin Patrick died from his church reads:
“We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Pastor Darrin Patrick. Darrin was a loved member of the Seacoast family, the teaching team, and pastoral staff and we are mourning his loss. Darrin had a gift for teaching the Word and a heart for encouraging other pastors.
God allowed Seacoast to be a part of Darrin’s story in a time when he needed a family. He was a gift to us and we are thankful for the time the Lord gave him to us. His influence and impact cannot be measured. We are surrounding the Patrick family with our prayers and support during this time.”
Ronnie Floyd, president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee said:
“When a personal tragedy like this occurs we not only grieve, but we also deal with so many other emotions.
“Once again, we realize that pastors are not any different from other people. We need relationships and friendships that help us walk through life and the challenges of leadership. The stress of ministry mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually is ever-present.”
Patrick is survived by his wife Amie and four children: Glory, Grace, Drew and Delainey.

Darrin Patrick (born December 4, 1970) is an American author and former pastor of The Journey, a megachurch in St. Louis, Missouri, which he founded in 2002.
He served as the chaplain to the St. Louis Cardinals and is the author of several books. A prominent figure within New Calvinism, he was the vice-president of the Acts 29 Network, an international church planting organization, and a council member of The Gospel Coalition.

Well it was great hearing his teaching and while he had some challenges in his life, I think we all do in our varying degrees and that is what life is about. Thankfully Jesus heals the broken hearted, the sinner, and the lost, so we can always be thankful that every life counts with Jesus.
