I won’t drink alcohol even if a brand offers me N50 billion – Singer Sexy Steel
Nigerian singer and actor, Sexy Steel, has said he is a principled person who will not drink alcohol even if he is offered N50 billion.
He stated this when he appeared as a guest with ID Cabasa on an episode of Frankly Speaking podcast with OAP Nedu, where he recalled losing a huge endorsement deal with Guinness because he does not take alcohol.
According to the stylist, he had a meeting with the company’s management team, and they wanted him to taste one of its new products, but he declined.
He requested that another drink be poured inside, and they insisted that for him to be their brand ambassador he would have to taste it.
Steel maintained his position and his refusal made them to take the deal to music legend, Innocent Idibia aka Tubaba.
The musician said his manager was angry at him and wondered if he had a mental problem for rejecting such a huge deal because of alcohol.
He said that he later met one of the top executives of the company at an event years later, and the man praised him for sticking to his no-alcohol principle. The man said Sexy Steel was the person who made him realise that money is not everything.
Cabasa seemes to be in disbelief that he took such a decision, but Steel further said even if he had been offered N50 billion, he will not drink alcohol.
