BBC Autumnwatch second episode on Wednesday, October 30th honoured Andy Jackson with a tribute after he passed away two weeks before the broadcast.

Andy Jackson death: BBC Autumnwatch 2019 cameraman death – what happened?

Before his passing, Andy Jackson was a underwater wildlife photographer from York, who had been working in the industry since 2004.

Andy was working for SubSeaTV, a company he founded with writer Jackie Daly, his wife since 2011.

He had graduated with a degree in civil engineering from Sheffield University but switched career paths to pursue his passion for nature and wildlife.

Andy Jackson worked with the BBC on some of their biggest nature documentaries, including the smash-hit Blue Planet II last year.

Andy was also a respected member of the International Association of Wildlife Film-Makers. He emerged winner of the British Wildlife Photography Awards for his wildlife video in 2015 in the 90-second film category.

Andy Jackson cause of death is not public.
