We were sent to assassinate Apostle Suleman – Suspect makes shocking confession
Yusuf Ismael Isah, the suspect arrested in connection with the attack on the convoy of General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman has confessed to committing the crime.
The Nigeria Police paraded him among other suspected criminal elements at the Force Headquarters on Thursday, 13th of July 2023.
According to the suspect, the attack was aimed at assassinating the fiery clergyman, but he insisted that he didn’t know the person who masterminded the plot.
It may be recalled that in October 2022, the motorcade belonging to Suleman was attacked on , on Benin-Auchi Road. At least six persons, including three police personnel, were confirmed dead after the gruesome attack.
Isah said; “The attack on him (Suleman) was to assassinate him. I was not part of the discussion; Ilayasu and Labisca were the ones involved in the discussion.
“We attacked him with five AK 47 rifles. Labisca trailed him from where he was coming from to the point where we attacked him.”
