Unemployed LAUTECH graduate who demanded refund of school fees gets half a million Naira
A young man named Oludare Alaba who created a scene when he visited Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Oyo state to demand a refund of his school fees, has been compensated with N500,000 by the institution’s Association.
He visited institution to not just return his certificate but also demand refund of his school fees because years after graduating, he has been unable to secure a job.
A video which went viral showed when Alaba presented the document to the University staff, noting that the certificate had not yielded him any financial gain.
In a subsequent interview, the graduate broke silence on the reason for his action and shared a pitiful background story.
However, he gave an update in a fresh Facebook post, saying that the LAUTECH alumni presented him a cheque of 500,000 Naira.
Alaba said; “I hereby seize this medium to express my deep appreciation to the Global Body of LAUTECH Alumni as outstandingly led by the President, Hon. Onilede Solomon popularly known as LIMO, the Board of Trustees, and the Oyo State Chapter of the Association for their presentation of the #500,000 cheque to me.
“May Almighty God continue to be with you and all members of the Association for their show of love and support. I thank you, once again.”
