Between late night Thursday May 9 and early Friday morning May 10, Travis was involved in an armed standoff with the Fort Collins Police and Larimer County Sheriff between 11pm and 5:30am.
He was reportedly armed and suicidal over a recent breakup with a girlfriend and fired multiple shots from his residence, prompting a response from SWAT.
At approximately 5:30am, SWAT entered the residence and found Travis dead after hours of failed negotiations and tactics.
At roughly 6:30am, his body was removed from the residence as forensics units collected data from the scene.
At 7:30am, a crew border up the windows and doors that were damaged during SWAT activities. The residence remains sealed under order of law.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Travis was a poet. I hope he wrote it down somewhere as his poetry was really good and showed what a wonderful heart he had. I am so sad he won’t be writing anymore but he has joined the other great poets. He will be missed.
