Iheanacho wins Leicester City’s ‘Player of the Season’ award

Kelechi Iheanacho has been named Leicester City’s best player of the 2022/23 season.

The Nigerian International scored eight goals for the Foxes in all competitions over the course of the past season.

Leicester disclosed this on their official website.

Iheanacho scored the decisive goals in wins over Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It’s the first time he will be winning the award.

Leicester City were relegated from the Premier League following a dismal campaign.

He bagged an assist in the club’s 2-1 win against West Ham United last weekend.

Similarly, Manchester City star, Erling Haaland recently won the Premier League ‘Player of the Season’ award after a record-breaking debut campaign.
