Former Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has backed the Super Eagles of Nigeria to beat the Black Stars of Ghana when both teams clash in a 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, on Friday night.
Omeruo believes the match between Nigeria and Ghana will be tough, adding that the Super Eagles will win the encounter.
He said this while speaking with reporters on Thursday before the squad’s trip to Kumasi.
“The team is ready. We have had a good training session and I think from what the coaches are trying to pass, we are ready,” Omeruo said.
“Ghana against Nigeria is tough, we know this and we are going into that game ready to give our best.
“We are going there to win the game, it won’t be easy, but we have the squad to do it.”
After Friday’s match, Nigeria will host Ghana in the reverse fixture in Abuja on Tuesday.
