A dancer was found dead in Miami strip club – Babylon Miami Nightclub Monday afternoon, after a security guard unlocked the doors for business.

The dancer was found dead on the floor of the VIP section of the Northwest Miami-Dade strip club. Her body reportedly showed no obvious signs of trauma.

The woman is believed to be in her mid-20s and her driver’s license is from out of state.

As at Tuesday afternoon, police hadn’t offered many details about the incident publicly but MiamiHarald reports that sources familiar with the investigation said the dead woman was a dancer at the Babylon Miami Nightclub who likely died from an overdose.

Miami-Dade police spokesman Lee Cowart said:

“She’s an unidentified female. That’s all we know about her at this point.”

The dead woman had entered the club, Babylon Miami Nightclub at 7020 NW 72nd Avenue in the early morning hours of Monday, 6th May 2019 before it closed.

Sources, according to MiamiHerald, said she was doing cocaine with a promoter and had fallen asleep on the floor after drinking too much.

There were no obvious signs of trauma on her body, there were no obvious indications of foul play at the scene, according to sources.

Babylon Miami Nightclub’s website said its hours are from 3 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily. It wasn’t immediately clear how she ended up alone and dead after the club’s doors were locked.

As to her cause of death, the Miami-Dade medical examiner’s office is expected to rule on the woman’s cause of death.
