Burna Boy, a Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, said he wished the world would leave him out of all politics and just let or watch me perform on stage.
Burna Boy said this on his official Twitter handle in the early hours of Saturday.
“I thank God and the world for giving me This. I just wish the world would leave me out of all politics and just let/watch me perform till I Die. The only time my heart feels genuine peace is On stage and that’s where I want to live and Die.”
The singer had announced on his Instagram page on Friday that he was not going to be performing at the AfroNation 2022 Music Festival in Puerto Rico due to circumstances beyond his control.
“I’m extremely gutted that I won’t be at the AfroNation in Puerto Rico, due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. I will make it up to you all for sure! Love, Damini,” Burna Boy wrote.
Meanwhile, other Nigerian artistes including Davido, Olamide, Psquare performed at the music event.
