Last night the African Art world lost a giant. RIP #benonlutaaya. We will miss you greatly!!! Your legacy still remains however with all the work and energy you put in to helping and developing young artists. We will always remember you.
- From Delaney Artist:
I’m sad to hear that fellow artist @benonlutaaya has passed away. He was a a truly great talent, demanding of himself and always pushing further. But he was also a compassionate and thoughtful person, who championed female artists, sponsoring programmes for them through the sale of his artworks & a business he owned. We’d planned to collaborate on a project when I got back. I took this pic of him last year in his studio, near mine at Vic Yards. Go well my friend. We will all miss you @victoria_yards

Surely an inspiration,an artist the continent has been looking upto….An artist who had made a rebirth in the contemporary art..Your works speak alot of volumes… a voice to the voiceless.
as an artist and on behalf of the Global Art Village(uganda)… we say your legacy will still be looked at as an inspiration to air out the voice of the voiceless .
