Tributes pouring in from social media in honour of Hannah read:

  • From Sarah Swafford:

We need your prayers. This is Austin & Hannah Lager. BC grads of 2017, married last June & expecting their first child, Matthias, due this June. Hannah & Matthias were killed this morning in a car accident. Please keep Austin, their families, Hannah, and Matthias in your prayers.

  • From Matthew Ramsey:

It is with great sadness that I share this news:

We are sad to inform you that Hannah (Vogt) Lager ’17 (Secondary Education and Spanish), the wife of Austin Lager ’17 from the IT Department, was killed this morning in a traffic accident.

Making the situation even sadder, the young couple had just married last June and they were expecting their first child in a few months. Please keep Austin and the families in your prayers during this very difficult time. And please pray for the repose of the souls of Hannah and their unborn child.

Hannah was our student and your classmate. We are deeply affected by this tragedy.

  • From Courtney Adkins:

My hearts aches for the Lager & Vogt families. Please pray for Austin & all those effected by this tragic loss. 💔

May their souls rest in perfect peace.
