Zane Barnard death: Here is how snake catcher Zane Barnard accident on April 29th, 2019 happened.

 

Barnard died after he lost control of his car while travelling on the D534 back road between the Umlaas Road and Lynfield Park. Tragically, he was thrown from the vehicle and died on the scene.

Zane Barnard death:

Zane was on his way to a farm with snake problems at Cato Ridge when his tragic death occurred.

The snake catcher who was well known for rescuing snakes and teaching people how to live with the reptiles, was travelling on the D534 back road between the Umlaas Road and Lynfield Park when he lost control of the car and it rolled on a dirt road just before the house.

Announcing his death, Snakes Heroes wrote on Facebook:

Very sad news! Zane Barnard died yesterday on his way to a snake call out.

This afternoon I referred a callout to my friend and colleague, Zane Barnard. As usual he attended happily.

Little did we know this would be the last callout he would ever attend. He rolled his vehicle on a dirt road just before the house.

Tragically, he was thrown from the vehicle and died on the scene. My thoughts are with Jenny and the rest of his family.

You will be missed, my friend. RIP Zane Barnard.

Zane has been a snake catcher for over 40 years.
