Tory Lanez bags 10-year jail sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion
Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez has been sentenced to ten years imprisonment for shooting female American colleague, Megan Thee Stallion.
A Los Angeles judge passed the jail sentence on Tuesday following months of trial and extensive investigations on the matter.
The rapper was convicted in December 2022 of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and two other felonies after he was dragged to court by Megan for shooting her in the feet after a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in 2020.
Megan testified that Lanez shot at the back of her feet and told her to “Dance, bitch” when she was walking away from an SUV that was carrying them in 2020.
The prosecutors demanded 13-year imprisonment for the hip-hop star but the jury instead passed a 10-year jail sentence.
