Schoolgirl who cried because her parents couldn’t attend her graduation gets scholarship
A Nigerian couple have offered to fund the education of a primary school girl, Wasilat Bashiru, who cried at her graduation.
Reports made the rounds days ago that an 11-year-old Head girl of God’s Light Group of Schools, Oyo town, Oyo state broke down in tears because her parents were unable to attend her graduation ceremony.
After hearing her story, a Nigerian woman and her husband took pity on the little girl and promised to sponsor her through school.
The woman, Oluwafunmi made this known via Twitter, as she noted that Wasilat deserves an opportunity to shine bright.
She tweeted: “Myself and my hubby @DeleMotors will take over funding her education. She deserves to have a brilliant future. Kayode pls send me a dm lets get the ball roll!! We rise by lifting other.”
