Mourinho explains why he can’t go to Africa
Jose Mourinho, the former coach of Chelsea and AS Roma, has stated that he cannot visit Africa due to the presence of passionate and crazy fans.
Mourinho explained that every time he goes to Africa he cannot walk.
According to the Portuguese, he has guys in Africa like Didier Drogba, John Obi Mikel, and Michael Essien who love him.
Speaking with FIVE presented by Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, Mourinho discussed his relationship with African players whom he had coached in the past, insisting that an African player is very loyal and pure.
“I cannot go to Africa. Too much [crazy fans] everywhere. Because, you know, I had, you know Didier Drogba – Ivory Coast, Geremi – Cameroon, Kalou – Ivory Coast, Obi Mikel – Nigeria, Essien – Ghana, I have guys all around the world,” Mourinho said.
“Every time I go to Africa I cannot walk. The guys love me. Even in Europe with many African guys, people really love me.
“To be honest I love the guys and I feel that the African player is very loyal and very pure.”
