Don’t follow what you have no ‘sure’ knowledge of – Naira Marley advises

Famous rapper, Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley has cautioned people against believing everything they hear and read.

The ‘Tesumole’ crooner, who is fasting, took to his Twitter account and shared some quotes from the Quran to make his point.

Naira Marley and his close associate, Sam Larry have come under serious criticism in recent months and his music is said to have been black-listed owing to allegations of his involvement in his former signee, Mohbad’s death.

There were reports that event centers, show organisers and media stations deliberately chose to stop playing his songs or book him for performances.

Amid these claims, Naira Marley tweeted: “O believers, if an evildoer brings you any news, verify ‘it’ so you do not harm people unknowingly, becoming regretful for what you have done. Quran 49:6 (Al-hujurat)

“Do not follow what you have no ‘sure’ knowledge of. Indeed, all will be called to account for ‘their’ hearing, sight, and intellect. Quran 17:36

And do not walk on the earth arrogantly. Surely you can neither crack the earth nor stretch to the height of the mountains. Quran 17:37”
