Chef Dammy announces new 150-hour cook-a-thon to unseat Hilda Baci
In a determined attempt to unseat Hilda Baci, Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi has announced a new 150-hour cook-a-thon.
The 22-year-old chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, revealed her intention to perform a cooking spree for 150 hours, Nigerian Tribune reports.
Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, on Friday, chef Dammy maintained her decision to break a Guinness World Record (GWR).
While acknowledging the support of stakeholders within and outside Ekiti state, the 300-level Mass communication student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) noted that she is determined to break the world record with the 150-hour cooking marathon she is planning to do soon.
This is coming shortly after she denied aiming for a Guinness World Record.
In a statement on her official Facebook page, the Ekiti Chef clarified that her intention with the 120-hour cook-a-thon was to push her abilities rather than aiming to break any records.
She expressed her happiness for persevering and not giving up despite the criticism she faced.
“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR.. l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up,” she said.
