The desperate call for help to find Bartell who went missing in the Apple Valley subdivision east of Lowell, has ended not with the outcome his family and loved ones had fervently prayed for.

Zakkary was found dead Sunday, May 5th 2019 not far from his home.

According to the Lake County coroner’s office, Zakkary D. Bartell was found dead in the area of Mississippi Street and Baldwin Road, near the Apple Valley subdivision in an unincorporated area east of Lowell.

How he died, the cause of his death are, at the time of writing this report, pending further investigation, a coroner’s release said.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Department said it was investigating the death as an apparent suicide. Police were awaiting a final autopsy report.

The Lake County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department had reported Zakkary Bartell missing after he was last seen April 9 at a residence in the Apple Valley subdivision in Hebron, Indiana.

Zakkary D. Bartell was last seen April 9, 2019 in the Apple Valley subdivision east of Lowell. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call Lake County sheriff’s police Detective Komisarcik at 219-755-3346.
