A yet to be identified young girl who was reportedly raped several times in Cross River state, has reportedly died.
The raped lady was dumped at U.J. Esuene Sport Stadium by Oando filling station in Calabar, before she was rescued and rushed to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, (UCTH) by some residents of the area.
According to Cross River State team of Child Protection Network (CPN), they received a call from girl found lying on the road. Upon their arrival, it was noticed that the girl who is about 17-year-old was unconscious but still breathing.
The report about the rape from CPN read;
Child Protection Network (CPN) Cross River State team received a call from a super passionate woman about a child who was found laying on the road. Upon arrival, It was noticed that the child was still breathing. The team put a call to the police and the child was taken to UCTH.
The Doctor report states that she was abused several times. She is still in coma and this is preventing us from properly identifying her and getting to know her and contacting her family.
However, the hospital bill is really expensive and the network need support from you…The girl could be a friend or sister and we can’t let her die.

However on the 26th, she showed signs of regaining consciousness and on the 28th of July, but she passed on being unable to make it.
This is coming after it was reported that 14-year-old girl, Obiamaka Ngozichukwu Orakwe, was raped to death in her parents’ apartment in Abule-Ado area of Lagos State by miscreants. The act was reportedly carried out by a group of miscreants, who usually hanged out in a smoking joint in the area, following the deceased’s negative response to their advances.
