Xenophobia: “When you are in a foreign country respect their laws” – Buhari to Nigerians in South Africa (video)

Following the recent Xenophobic attacks in South Africa, President Buhari has charged Nigerians in other countries to ensure they respect the laws of the land in their host countries.

“When you are in a foreign country respect their laws” – Buhari to Nigerians in South Africa (video)

President Buhari gave the charge when he spoke at a joint press conference with the South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa, yesterday September 3rd.

President Buhari is currently in South Africa to express his displeasure of the Xenophobic attacks that led to the destruction of properties owned by Nigerians and other African nationals residing in the country.

Speaking at the press conference, the President said

‘‘I think Nigerians know the stand of the leadership that when you are in Rome, you do waht the Romans do. When you are in a country, you study the people and the laws and you get yourself in line with what the authorities and the people accept there” he said

  1. XENOPHOBIA BY SOUTH AFRICANS AGAINST NIGERIANS WAS NOT ABOUT NIGERIANS BREAKING THE LAWS OF THE LAND OF SOUTH AFRICA, RATHER IT WAS ABOUT PURE AND UNADULTERATED HATRED BY BOTH THE SOUTH AFRICAN’S LOW AND MIGHTY BECAUSE:

-THE SOUTH AFRICANS PERCEIVED NIGERIANS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE EXISTING JOBS IN THE
LAND(REMEMBER THE CLAIM THAT OVER 80% OF JUICY POSITIONS IN SOUTH AFRICA ARE IN
THE HANDS OF FOREIGNERS BY THE SOUTH AFRICAN MINISTER OF POLICE)

-NIGERIANS ARE MORE PROSPEROUS THAN THEY ARE,

-NIGERIANS ARE FLOURISHING AND THEY ARE NOT,

    – NIGERIAN MEN ARE SOCIALLY SUPERIOR TO THEIR MEN AND SO MORE ACCEPTABLE TO THEIR
    WOMEN THAN THEIR MEN(LOL),

    -NIGERIANS ARE DRUG LORDS,

    -ETC.

AND SO, THEY TOOK THE LAWS INTO THEIR HANDS, MARCHED INTO THE STREETS AND BUSINESS PLACES, KILLING AND LOOTING, WITH THEIR POLICEMEN SUPERVISING THESE EVILS.

I FIND THE UNSATISFACTORY STATEMENTS AND POSITIONS ADOPTED BY MOST NIGERIANS IN “POWER” OVER THE ISSUE IRKSOME, IRRITATING AND EXASPERATING.

IT LEAVES A SOUR TASTE IN MY MOUTH.
