A Nigerian man identified as Mustapha recently took to his social media page to share a controversial opinion on marriage duties.
According to him, Allah rewards women who do house chores like cleaning, cooking and taking care of the home especially when done to please their husbands.
He wrote on Twitter ;
“Just Imagine the rewards u will get from Allah by doing some of the house chores eg cooking,cleaning and taking good care of the home, it’s rewards upon rewards, what a missed opportunity for women yet to marry and for womem who are married but choose to ignore these goodies,”

See some reactions to his statement below;
@UCee_roberts: Is it only women allah gives reward to? You sef no wan collect reward?
@IamEtubo: Sir, as a man if you join body do chores with madam, shey you won’t get rewards ni? Abi you only get your rewards by watching madam do these chores?
When someone is not abunu?
@rachy01_: So the man is meant to cross legs and watch tv while we kill our selves with house chores? Cos of some rewards? Who raised you son?
@Sarhlomeh: You don’t like rewards from Allah?? Start by doing house chores and u’d be amazed. PS the reward isn’t limited to “women” alone
@FaeeBB: Nowhere in the Quran or the Sunnah does it say that woman shall wash the dishes or for the female to scrub the house. In fact, there are several ahadith that state plainly that the Prophet (PBUH) did a lot of housework.
In another report Aisha said:
He mended sandals and patched garments and sewed.” (Adab Al-Mufrad graded sahih by Al-Albani)
