Anthony Joshua who is currently in Nigeria was asked by a kid, why he was fighting for Britain and not Nigeria.
During a recent event in Makoko area of Lagos state, a child asked Anthony Joshua why he was fighting for Britain instead of Nigeria.
The question obviously came as a shock to him. She also asked at what age did he start boxing.
Addressing the girl’s question, Joshua explains that his “parents were born in Nigeria but when they were about 25 years, they moved to Britain where they had him”. This corrects the notion many Nigerians have had that he was born in Nigeria. Being born in Britain by Nigerian parents made his a dual citizen of both Nigeria and Britain.
He went on to tell her that he started boxing at the age of 18.
