American music producer and DJ Diablo has been detained by cops, under a 5150 hold after posting suicide note on social media.
The DJ whose real names are Sebastian Baldeon, has worked with with rappers Lil Xan and Lil Pump shared an open letter suggesting intentions of self-harm on the 8th of May.
Although it didn’t explicitly state that he planned to commit suicide, gave his fans and supporters cause for concern. One passage reads “I’ll be happier off dead,” and near the end he wrote, “I’m gonna end it tonight.” On both Twitter and Instagram, hundreds of his followers offered words of encouragement and alarm. The post suggests that he thinks people and his music label will finally appreciate his work once he’s gone.
The Ecuadorian-born, Los Angeles-based DJ/producer also posted a video of himself crying while explaining that he can’t take the pressure from the industry anymore.
Shortly thereafter, Baldeon shared a video via his Instagram story. In the brief clip, police officers appear to be getting ready to take him away for evaluation. According to TMZ, he was put in handcuffs and taken away to the station where he will have to undergo mental evaluation.
