A Nigerian lady has been banned for life from entering into the United States of America for presenting a fake visa and other fake documents at the US Embassy.
The 24 year old lady identified as Vivian is an accountant by profession and plans to relocate to the United States with the assistance of her uncle, New Telegraph reports.
It was gathered that Vivian was convinced by her uncle, Ugochukwu, to relocate to the US, but when she got to the US Embassy, it was discovered that all her documents were fake.
She had a fake United Bank of Africa (UBA) identity card; she claimed to be a worker with the bank, but ironically, she had never worked in any UBA branch in her life. She also had a UBA bank statement, which also happened to be fake
The passport she presented to the white men showed that she had a travel history, which was supposed to make her attempt at getting American Visa easier.
The travel history stamps on her passport showed that she had traveled out of Nigeria to many countries, including Germany. When some questions about some of the countries she claimed to have visited were put across to her, she couldn’t give any coherent answer and evidences of her travel to those countries she mentioned..
She was promptly arrested and handed over to detectives attached to the Police Special Fraud Unit (SFU). The Imo State University graduate promised to assist investigators to locate her uncle whom she claimed prepared everything for her collected N150,000 as payment.
She was however handed a lifetime ban by the Embassy and she will also be prosecuted by the appropriate authorities for impersonation and drafting of fraudulent document for criminal purposes.
The alleged uncle is however on the run, but efforts are already in place to get him arrested.
