Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s son, Bashir, has taken a swipe at Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki who has been on consultation meetings after he announced his intention to contest for the presidency in 2019.
According to Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s son, Bashir, unlike Saraki, President Buhari is not a thief. His tweet was a response to a question he was asked. Here is a screenshot of the exchange below;
Few weeks ago, Bashir was in the news after he took a swipe at three presidential aspirants. Writing on his Twitter page, he described Fela Durotoye, Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu and other presidential aspirants as a ‘bunch of jesters.’ This was in response to a post shared by Fela Durotoye alongside other presidential aspirants, who gathered in Abuja to form an alliance to change the political course of Nigeria come 2019.
“Visionary Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) towards the 2019 General Elections “Election As Revolution
“We represent the future of our country, a future which begins now; and we know it. We take collective ownership of that mission.
“In attendance were: Thomas-Wilson Ikubese Comrade Eragbe Anslem, Sowore Omoyele, Fela Durotoye, Tope Fasua, Sina Fagbenro-Byron, Jaye Gaskia, Ahmed Buhari, Mathias Tsado, Charlyboy, amongst others. Our future is determined now.”
Tweeting at the picture, El-Rufai’s son wrote:
“Look at these bunch of jesters.”
“They say politics is a game of numbers. These jokers actually believe they are more in number.”
He was also in the news after he slammed New York Times over its tweet about President Buhari’s announcement of re-contesting in the 2019 election. The tweet on New York Times official Twitter page read;
“Muhammadu Bahari, Nigerian president beset by health problems, Boko Haram and calls for him to step aside, says he will run again in 2019”.
However reacting to the above tweet, Bashir El-Rufai wrote;
“The President in your country, was on tape bragging about grabbing women by the P**** and eats Big Macs all day, and is a fully open racist and misogynist will run again in 2020 and win too, but hey, it’s the New York Times”.
