University of Port-Harcourt allegedly refuses to issue 1,227 students certificates after graduation

According to him, the students sued the school over this issue and won the case in court but the school is yet to obey the court’s order and issue the students certificate to enable them go for their NYSC and carry on with their lives.

He wrote;

Dear University of Port-Harcourt, Why have you refused to issue certificates to 1,227 students who graduated since 2016 because they did late registration that year. They can’t do NYSC or anything with their life. They sued you & won, yet you won’t obey Court Order. Why?

The current VC of that school is clueless. It’s painful being my alma mater and knowing how Prof Nimi Briggs sanitized that school during his reign in 2000’s. I support this move to call them out Deji

A friend of mine who was supposed to go for service last year has been told to repeat year 3 and 4 all because he failed to pay his level 300 school fees on time.

The same country will turn on such individual when they choose to make ends meet through nefarious means! A country were education should be free!

Assuming they issued degree certificates to these young graduates, God willing, many of them must have gotten jobs by now and begin to fend for themselves and their respective families. What a big damage done to these people’s lives! This is a case of man’s inhumanity to humans.

Site the governing body of the university for contempt of court and get them all locked up. From VC down. If I have a order of court for performance of an act, and the judgement debtor won’t obey, ha! It’s jail you’re going, since we all want to be stupid.

Some students were even brought back from You

  1. Court injunction in this country is no longer enforceable. This is so bad and unfortunate. How did we get to this point as a people?
