Uche Jombo slams US Bleacher Report over copyright infringement

Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has slammed US Bleacher Report for copyright infringement.

Uche Jombo took to her social media page to respond to a post shared by Bleacher Report where themedia platform used a Nollywood movie scene in a way that infringes copyright.

Bleacher Report shared a video showing Osita Iheme in a Nollywood movie wearing a complete Lakers jersey and cap. The captioned the scene;

Uche Jombo on seeing the post responded, she wrote;

You put watermark on a video you downloaded off the internet 🤦🏾‍♀️
It’s all fun and games till
the copyright owner sue you.
That’s someone’s Nollywood film scene.

The title of the movie the scene was cut from cannot be traced at the moment but Uche believes Bleacher Reports can get sued for watermarking a video that is not theirs.

A watermark is a visible image imprinted or embossed directly onto the paper or digitally added onto an image or video later. It would be your name, your company logo, the company name, the copyright symbol or nearly anything that marks that image as belonging to you.
