Tyson Fury appears to have sent British Nigerian champion, Anthony Joshua a message by wearing ‘Nigeria’ gum shield in Deontay Wilder win.
Tyson Fury beat Deontay Wilder in seven rounds to claim the WBC world heavyweight title, but there seem to be a secret message he sent to Anthony Joshua wearing a gum shield with the word ‘Nigeria’ written across the front, in the colours of the Nigerian flag.
Anthony Joshua is proud of his Nigerian heritage, and is frequently seen donning both the British flag, and the Nigerian flag. Joshua’s parents were both born in Nigeria, and they moved to the UK when they were 25. The boxer was also born in Nigeria, and commonly visits his former homeland.
Fury was spotted wearing the gum shield during the fight, as well as after.
