‘The land is green’ crooner, TY Bello, just turned 40 and she can’t keep calm. Toyin Sokefun-Bello a.k.a TY Bello, penned down a birthday message to herself.
‘So this girl is 40, counting the years and wondering how, but it’s true. I was born on the 14th of January 1978 at UCH, Ibadan. God has made my life so beautiful. Ive lived passionately in this colorful love -bubble. I’m so excited to be here, full of hopes and dreams .. Soooooooo HAPPY’.

TY Bello who turned out to become one of the famous photographers in Nigeria and even discovering bread-seller turned model,Olajumoke, in an interview last year disclosed how the sexual assault she suffered as a child, had a negative effect on her in her formative years, adding that sexual abuse made her feel inferior to other girls.
According to her, she used to see other girls as flowers and saw herself as dirty cement ‘hard and ugly’ because of the ugly incident.
She disclosed this in an interview with Movie Producer and popular cinematographer, Kemi Adetiba on series titled ‘King women’ encouraging women to strive hard despite circumstances.
She worked on herself, got over the ugly incident and now one of Nigeria’s biggest export in photography.
